Q. How do you know if Shellfish is good or bad?

Never eat a shellfish that is open unless it was previously frozen fresh. If it is open, it is dead and is unhealthy.

Q. How long does frozen fish last?

Provided the fish has been vacuum packed and sealed, it can last for up to one year. If there is a small amount of freezer burn it would still be okay, however if there is a large amount of freezer burn it is best to throw it away. You can also use freezer bags however they can change the product and dry it out. Fresh fish is not supposed to be vacuum sealed for more then 3 days as it still can allow bacteria to grow.

You should either eat the seafood upon delivery or freeze the fish immediately to sustain quality.
